Wicklow Pony Club Spring League Our Spring League will run for 3 Sundays 5th February, 19th February and 4th March in Spruce Lodge (off N11 opposite Jack White's). The dates for the Pony Club Hunter trials have not been confirmed but they usually fall on the same days each year Wicklow 1st April (TBC) Bray 5th AprilIsland 7th April Shillelagh 9th April ____________________________ We have also been informed about hunter trials planned by the Bray, Wicklow and Carlow Hunts. These are not IPC events and are not covered by IPC Insurance. IPC Hunter Trial Championships 14th April Ballon, Co. Carlow To be eligible to represent the club at the Hunter Trial championships in Ballon (same location as Carlow Farmers hunter trial) you MUST have your C test and you must have some experience competing at local Hunter Trials ideally some of the stronger ones like Ballon and Killahurler. |

Christmas Party Thanks to Mary who organised a great Christmas Party and thank you to everybody at Bel Air. I think it is safe to say that everybody who came along had a really great night Novice One Day Event Thanks to Noni and everybody who helped out at our Novice One Day Event on Sunday 11th.

Games Training If anybody is interested in trying out some Pony Club Games please text GAMES and your name to the club mobile.We would love to encourage some of the ex Junior Games riders to get involved and we might be able to get a Senior team together. We hope to build on our success at Junior and Under 10 and will look at Senior if there is enough interest. Senior riders must have their C test and must be under 16 on 1st Jan. Junior riders must be under 13 on 1st Jan. |

Annual Parents Meeting Thursday November 17th Bel Air 8.30pm It is really important that s many people as possible attend this meeting. All but 3 of the present committee have served on the committee for the past 3 years and so must step down. A few have indicated that they would seek re-election but there are at present at least 4 vacant positions which include all the officers. Please consider carefully if you would be willing to put your name forward. It is a lot of work but unless people are willing to take it on there will be no events to go to.

Training Wicklow Pony Club is very lucky to have excellent trainers on our instructors panel. Organising group training has become very difficult because there are so many different school and sports events on so we are proposing to advertise the numbers of any interested instructors here and members can contact them directly. Showjumping The final day of our Spring League took place on Sunday Feb 27th in Spruce Lodge. Thank you to everybody who supported the event and special thanks to all those who helped out especially our course builder Dermot and judge Michael O'Connor. There were classes from Lead-rein up to Super-Maxi and all were very well supported. Congratulations to Jessica Murphy & Peter Vickers who were wonderful in the lead rein Lisa Sutton, Jessica Murphy, Marcus Dodd & Nicola Schmidt who were 1st to 4th in the Minus Mini.
