Under 10’s Ride Out
Tues 3rd April
Meeting at The Glenmalure Lodge at 10.30am. A 2hr ride out, no jumping, suitable for all levels of rider, but leaders will need to be reasonably fit! Gorgeous views and a proper adventure for younger riders.

Barnadown Showjumping Clinic
Wed 4th April from 10am – 1pm
John Ledingham (u 21’s) 90cm – 1m , Robbie Bailey (u 14’s) 80cm -90cm , Alice Mernagh (u12’s) 70 – 80cm, X poles & mini.
We will have the use of 2 arenas: starting with RB in top arena followed by JL, X- poles and Mini in the bottom arena followed by AM.
Clinic times will depend on the number of entries and will be confirmed Monday 2nd April

A great opportunity for members looking towards team selection to improve their riding and become familiar with Barnadown, the venue for our area qualifier and the venue for the championships in July.
Richard Sheane – Elite Sport Horse Talk
April 4th, 17.00 – 18.30
By kind invitation, Richard Sheane and Georgina Philips of Cooley Farm ave offered to give a talk to members of the Wicklow Pony Club. They will go through the buying producing and selling of a top end horses and will demonstrate how they show them to clients.
Richard and Georgie are world class producers with horses competing at the top levels across the globe. There are five Cooley horses on the Badminton 2018 start list!
This is a wonderful opportunity for any member with an interest in competition horses and we are grateful to Richard and Geogie for their generous support!

Sat 14th April 10am – 4pm
Dressage, Showjumping and Cross Country Clinic.
Riders of similar standard will be grouped together. We hope to have enough interest to provide beginner, novice and intermediate/advanced level for each of the disciplines.

Musical Ride

Minimus & Tetrathlon
Training is well under way and we encourage the children to get out on as many of the hunter trials as possible. Check the website and facebook for fixtures which Jason updates regularly.

Polo Wicklow have offered to restart lessons with pony club members that bring their own ponies to the club for a lesson once a week. This will be at €20 per person. Anyone interested contact Amanda 087 6125124. (minimum 5 per lesson)
