Welcome to the Wicklow Hunt Pony Club Fun Minimus. We hope you have a fantastic day on Monday and the weather looks to be super.
See below you will find details of SWIM HEATS and RIDE order. Please adhere to these and if you have any problem with either, please respond by email to this address or send a text to 0870523239 asap.
SWIM
CORAL LEISURE, WICKLOW TOWN – EIRCODE A67CF88
Warm up for heats 1-10 is 8.00 – 8.10 sharp. Heats commence immediately after.
Warm up for heats 11-20 is 8.35 – 8.45 sharp. Heats commence immediately after.
Warm up for heats 21-27 is 9.10 – 9.20 sharp. Heats commence immediately after.
Please arrive to the pool 30min in advance of your warm up. Please make sure you are on time for your warm up and swim as they will run to schedule or ahead of schedule. The centre will be open at 7.30. .
RUN
The run will start at 11.30 sharp at Rosanna, Ashford. (Search Wild Rosanna on Google Maps and it will bring you straight to the gate). It will be run in Branch order, in groups of 4. The run is on grass.
RIDE
At Rosanna, Ashford.
First out on the XC course is at 13.00. The ride order is attached and must be strictly adhered to. This is to accommodate those sharing ponies and allowing our Wicklow members to get out early to free their parents up to help! Please ensure that you comply to IPC Cross Country tack sheet and please bring a number bib.
There is a shallow river crossing on the course, there is no bridge – please bring wellies for your course walk. COURSE IS OPEN FOR WALKING EASTER SATURDAY, from 2pm, and Monday morning from 9am. THERE ARE SHEEP IN THE FIELD, PLEASE CLOSE ALL GATES, STRICTLY NO DOGS ALLOWED EITHER FOR COURSE WALK OR ON MONDAY 22.
Tack inspection will be open from 12 midday, you MUST be inspected before you can head out on the course. Ten ponies will be allowed in the warm up at any time.
XC PAIRS – this will take place AFTER all minimus competitors have ridden. Entries on the field, €20 per pair. You do not have to have competed in minimus to take part, but you MUST be a pony club member and produce your membership card on entry.
SCORING
We are running 4 competitions (all the same XC course). U10 Minimus, U12 Minimus, O12 Minimus and Swim/Run only. Scoring will be undertaken as quickly as possible and results posted via the IPC website. All prizes and rosettes will be posted.
We will have catering on site, ice cream from 12.20-13.30, photographer and tack shop – please support them if you can.
