Dear All,
Two more sleeps and Wicklow Pony Camp 2020 will be here! What a challenge it has been to arrive
here, our venue has played massive role in our ability to proceed with camp as we have an
abundance of space for parking and our activities in the beautiful grounds of Rosanna Estate, by kind
permission of John Wilding. Please respect our venue and leave no trace. Huge thanks also to
committee and Covid officers for all they have done in setting up and helping to make us all
compliant so that we can proceed with our camp.

Camp this year will be a new format for us all, committee, instructors, parents and members, we
would like to remind everyone to ensure that they adhere to IPC guidelines regarding social
distancing for themselves and their children.

 You must keep 2m between you and other people not of the same family unit.

symptoms of Covid 19 in lead up to the activity, DO NOT ATTEND
It is absolutely vital that we are compliant in all areas of the IPC Guidelines including social distancing
as failure to comply may result in suspension of camp and any further activities.
There will be a number of COVID-19 Compliance Officers on-site throughout the week, please
connect with any of them if you have any questions / concerns.
The compliance officers are:
Bria Speakman, Emily Morrissey, Lorraine Mannion, Niamh Cherry and Ed Cherry. Please follow their

We are hosting Area 1 Senior Camp from Tues – Thurs. This camp is made up of 15 members from

Groups and Instructors
We are extremely lucky to have an excellent panel of instructors next week, and we cannot express
how important it is that you leave these instructors to do their job. NO OUTSIDE INSTRUCTION
(INTERFERENCE!!) FROM PARENTS as per the code of conduct signed on membership. Please
ensure that your children are polite and respectful to their instructor. Parents of children not
adhering to these simple rules will be asked politely to leave.
Riders have been assessed over the past 4 weeks and a lot of work has gone into forming groups
according to ride ability, age and test standard, making appropriate rides. Any issues with rides must
be done through your relevant DC.
Mobile Phone
Mobile phones are not permitted during session work and we ask parents to take responsibility for
their childrens devices during training/riding.
Dogs
Dogs are not encouraged but if brought they must remain on a lead at all times.

While we are delighted to be able to have camp, we appreciate it is going to have a different feel
than previous years, from the social side, unfortunately these are the guidelines we must adhere to,
and if we don’t, we will not be allowed continue with our activities. Members not obeying
guidelines will get a warning, and after that, if they continue to disregard the guidelines, they will
unfortunately be asked to leave.

We sincerely hope you and you children have a great week, any problems during the week please
don’t hesitate to contact us.
Kind regards,
