Minimus is great fun for all members under 12 on 1st January with a mixture of swimming for 2 mins followed by a 1km run and then cross-country jumping fences of around 80 cms. The 2019 Minimus Championships were held at Millstreet in Cork. Wicklow PC sent down 3 Teams of Four to compete in the Championship and 2 of the Teams Placed 3rd and 16th and also won Best Turned Out.

Minimus 2020 teams will be selected after we assess the ability of each member on the X Country phase. Members please note that while you may be excellent swimmers or runners your X Country ability will determine whether you are placed on a team. This is not based on being a fast pony rider but on being able to get around a X Country course in a safe manner and each member will be assessed by XC Trainer. The IPC asks DCs not to sign off children who have not competed at this level prior to the championships so please go along to practice events the trainers recommend.
