Tetrathlon Championships & Home International 2015

What a weekend at Tatts!

Tetrathlon boys

In the junior boys everything clicked for our team of Robbie, Sean and Robert to land the National Championship trophy as the 1st placed single branch team.

Tetrathlon girls

In the junior girls, our young team of Roisin, Isobel, Lucy and Lisa did remarkably well to finish 4th behind 3 much more experienced teams, and also won this year’s Riding Award courtesy of perfect clears over a serious cross country track within the time allowed.

We clustered well individually in the boys, Robbie in 2nd, Sean 20th and Robert finishing 24th. In the girls, Roisin was a brilliant 4th overall helped by her winning PB run and also a new PB swim. Isobel finished 16th overall after a good 6th in the swim. The Riding Award was in effect secured by Lisa and Lucy’s accurate clear rounds which were timed at only 7 and 9 seconds away from the optimum respectively, giving us a better average time than Waterford. In the gruelling senior boys section, our sole competitor Jack finished in 8th position.

Tetrathlon group
In the International competition featuring teams from Ireland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland, Wicklow were represented on the winning girls and boys Irish junior teams by Robbie and Isobel who both contributed heavily to wide margin wins. Individually in this format based on pistol shoot scores, Robbie was 2nd, Roisin was 5th and Isobel finished up 8th. Best of luck to Robbie and Isobel who now travel to Bishop Burton, Yorkshire to compete at the British Pony Club Tetrathlon Championships in 2 weeks’ time.
